Sadly this tour didn't live up to its description and our expectations. The concept sounds convincing and like a true find, also when we first received confirmation and were asked several questions by the tour operator what we were looking for on our private tour. We thought we'd be exploring Marseille from a true local's perspective, with insider tips (we specified our interests after being asked to do so) and walk off the beaten track with our tour guide. However, our tour guide seemed little prepared for 'our' tour and didn't engage much with us (I am sure he is a wonderful person, maybe it wasn't his day). I think the concept is clearly a good one but what we got on our 4-hour-walk did not convince at all.

Lokafyer is a great concept with terrible execution. Having a local share their city with you works only if that person doesn't bail on you 15 minutes before the tour is supposed to start.
