On this day tour from Edinburgh, you can see the Scottish Highlands, Glencoe, film locations and take a journey on the Jacobite Steam Train over the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct.
We travel directly for Fort William to board the Jacobite Steam Train for the greatest railway journey in the world, it's the perfect way to see some of famous movie spots. One of the most iconic images in the films is that of the Jacobite Steam Train known to us all as the ‘Hogwarts Express’ travelling over the Glenfinnan Viaduct.
On arrival to the fishing village of Mallaig with its ferry route to the Isle of Skye (which you will get views of on a clear day) you will have a rest from location spotting to enjoy some free time in the village with many choices for lunch. From Mallaig you will again board the coach where we will have a stop at the Glenfinnan visitor centre for an excellent chance to photograph the steam train returning across the viaduct, before we return to Edinburgh via Pitlochry.

Brenden was our tour guide and he was AMAZING! He was full of insightful answers, Scottish history, witty anecdotes, and he sings quite lovely. The views were fantastic; I couldn't stop taking photos. The instructions to everything were clear and we had a fantastic time!

Fantastic tour with our wonderful cherry upbeat guide, Brenden who added colour and sparkle throughout the day. We started off with a the short bus ride before alighting and taking photographs of the wonderful glenco valley and meeting the lovely friendly highland cows who all have names! Our guide was thoroughly informative throughout the day telling us all just the right amount of history and fun facts of really important figures in Scotland's history. He highlighted to us some of the key landmarks and explained what their relevance was for us. All the while in a very non-dull tour guide kind of way. I think we've all been on one of those! This was anything but. Our stop at the Harry potter via duct was fantastic. Plenty of time to stop and watch the iconic steam train and felt no rush which was really lovely throughout. When we are finally arrived up in near the Isle of sky and we stent a few hours having lunch and mooching around this lovely village. It was well worth the trip up. The final leg on the jacobite steam train ride back to fort William was stunning. And was a very special end to a very magical day.

We had chances also to get some dinner and a short walk around a lovely little love village just outside of Edinburgh on the edge of the Cairngorms national park.

There was a lot packed into this day however I was so grateful that our guide allowed plenty of time to allow us to a stretch our legs and take photographs. Brenden gave us not just a tour of his beautiful country but with a real and personal touch . He made everything fun, full of energy an optimism. I couldn't have spent a better birthday. I feel really inspired to book another tour with them and certainly see more of this amazing country do not miss this tour!

My friend and I enjoyed seeing the filming locations, riding the train (though we weren’t in Harry Potter style carriages there was one on the train where we could get pictures), exploring at some of the stops and learning some of the history of Scotland. We were excited to be able to see the train go over the viaduct. We did arrive back about an hour late, however that is due to one of the couples getting engaged on the tour, so no one seemed upset about the delay. Overall, well worth the cost.

Great tour with a great guide/driver. Brendan was very entertaining and had some great stories to tell. My kids (17 and 20), really liked all the film-references. Fun to take the Harry Potter train and drink butterbrew.

Very cheerful driver. The bus broke down, and we were over 5 hours late returning. But we kept our spirits up, and the positive experience became the main focus of the day.
