1. Antrim Coast Road
Your Tour will begin from your pickup location, where you will meet your driver and guide for the day. There we will begin our journey to the north coast traveling through the rolling farmland of County Antrim which has been used for the famous Game of Thrones TV Show. The Antrim Coast Road is widely agreed to be one of the finest stretches of road anywhere in the world. The road hugs the coastline giving incredible seaside views, passing unspoiled beaches, and sheltering under rugged cliffs. You may even see Scotland on a good day!
2. Carnlough Harbour
Our first stop of the day takes us into the amazing picturesque fishing village of Carnlough for a quick comfort break. The village shop is a fitting end to your trip as you take in the quaint harbour used by pleasure boats and small fishing vessels in an area rich for both sea and freshwater angling. This harbor although built in the nineteenth century during the famine years still retains an old-world charm, which meant that it didn’t seem out of place when it first appeared in Game of Thrones.
3. Causeway Coastal Route
We travel along the Causeway Coastal route between Ballycastle and Dunluce to experience one of the most dramatic drives in the world, now rated as one of the world’s top 5 great road journeys. We transport you by windswept cliffs, spectacular scenery, and fabulous unspoiled beaches.
4. Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge
One of the most visited places in Northern Ireland amazing Carrick-a-Rede Rope bridge where you can cross a bridge that spans a chasm over 75ft in height. (Please note Crossing the Rope bridge will depend on the time you have on shore. The Carrick-A-Rede Rope bridge may sometimes be closed due to weather conditions or repairs. There will be a 1-mile walk from the car park to the Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge if you have mobility issues, have small children, or use a stroller that can't handle unpaved pathways. (If you wish to cross the bridge you will need to pre-book your ticket) Please let us know before purchasing your tickets and we will advise of an approx. time of arrival. if you do not wish to cross, we can stop at the viewing point for photos.
5. Ballintoy Harbour
Ballintoy Harbour is the location for Theon Greyjoy’s return to the Iron Islands. This small coastal village is one of the most pretty and picturesque towns in Ireland. Ballintoy means “raised beach” and it was used for the exterior Pyke shots in the Game of Thrones™ TV series.
6. White Park Bay
A Beautiful scenic beach at the very tip of Ireland and the closest country from here would be Iceland which is 800 miles away. we will stop there and take some beautiful photos and enjoy the views.
7. Giant's Causeway
Commonly called ‘the 8th wonder of the world’, is the only World Heritage site in Ireland. During our stop here you can spend time climbing over the ancient stones, snapping photos, and reflecting on the myths and legends of this very unique area. Entrance to the visitor’s center is not included in the price, if you want to access the café, shop, and visitor center you can purchase your ticket at the Giants Causeway and your ticked allowing you to experience the visitor center the history of the area including an audio guide to enhance your experience.
8. Bushmills Distillery
Bushmills Whiskey Distillery has been creating beautiful ‘water of life ‘since 1608 making this the oldest working distillery in Ireland. For those who wish to take a tour at the Bushmills Distillery you will need to pre-book your ticket) Please let us know before purchasing your tickets and we will advise of an approx. time of arrival. Please note that touring the Distillery will depend on your time on the shore. The distillery is only open Monday to Saturday.
9. Dunluce Castle
We continue a wonderful day with a photo stop at Dunluce Castle. We arrive at one of the most dramatic castle ruins in the world. Prepare to be amazed at the way this old castle hangs over the edge of the cliffs.
10. The Dark Hedges
One of the most popular natural phenomena in Northern Ireland, the Dark Hedges were used as a set for the hit TV series Game of Thrones. Featured Scene: Season 2, Episode 1: The North Remembers – On the King’s Road, Arya Stark has escaped from King’s Landing, disguised as a boy. She is with Yoren, Gendry, Hot Pie, and others who are to join the Night’s Watch, in a cart, traveling north on the King’s Road. why are they called the Dark Hedges? The treelines are supposedly haunted: The Grey Lady (a lost spirit from a long-abandoned graveyard) is said to appear at dusk amongst the trees.

I wish I was better at writing reviews so that I could fully convey how much we enjoyed the trip. My kids and husband had hesitations about an 8 hour tour but within 2 hours they all told me how great it was. John was fun and informative. Relaxed and kept us on pace. The sites were all worthwhile and memorable. The car was great and lunch was so easy and tasty.

This was an incredible experience, made possible by a really wonderful team at Belfast Tours NI. Nicole was very responsive and made the booking experience very easy, which was wonderful as we were a large study abroad group! Murat and his drivers were absolutely amazing. Each was knowledgeable about the history of and points of interest in both the areas we drove through and stopped at. This added so much to our experience and meant a lot to us! Murat was also so kind as to add some stops to the day. We were able to be flexible while also hitting all the major scheduled sites with plenty of time to explore them. I can't say enough about how amazing this day was. Highly recommend for travelers interested in having a fantastic day exploring the Antrim Coast while in Belfast!

Originally our group considered other tour options for our day trip from Belfast to the Giant's Causeway. We emailed questions to Nicole at Belfast Tours NI & her responses were informative & timely. While more expensive than the others, the luxury private vehicle won us over. I am so glad we spent the extra money for the day!

The owner of the company, Murat, was our driver. He is exceptional! Murat went above & beyond to ensure we had enough time to enjoy each stop & take the best photos. He is personable & easy to talk to. He is also very knowledgeable of Northern Ireland & it is clear that the loves providing a great experience. We'd expected only 8 hours for the Giant's Causeway tour, however ultimately he spent 10-1/2 hours without any additional cost. We highly recommend Belfast NI Tours.

This was a fantastic tour, catered to the points of interested suggested and that we wanted to view while visiting Northern Ireland. It was cool seeing some Game of Thrones filming locations and we really enjoyed the rope bridge experience along with the Bushmills tour. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and provided flexibility based off our plans for the day. Highly recommend to have a private tour if you have a small group.

Best tour we could have hoped for. Personal, very engaging and knowledgeable. Driver adapted to our interests and made terrific recommendations that gave us the right amount of time for our interests and improvised. We got plenty of insights into history, culture and politics that we wouldn't have gotten elsewhere. Completely enjoyable.

You are in control on this tour and it is your choice how much time you allocate to sites on the route. You can also make unscheduled stops for photo's etc. We were able to cross the rope-bridge, walk on the Causeway where we had lunch, visit Duluce Castle and walk the Dark Hedges. Our driver/guide was friendly and courteous.
