1. Hanoi
8h30: Private driver and guide pick up at the hotel lobby where you stay. If you book group tour, pick up starts from 7h30 AM at Hanoi Old Quarter hotel lobbies. If your hotel is out of town, we pick up at Hanoi Opera House for the start point.
2. Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum
We queue up to visit our father of Vietnam - The one who gave birth to Vietnam nation in 1945.

Visit the place where Ho Chi Minh read the declaration to give birth the nation in 1945. Opposite to Congress House and Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.
4. Presidential Palace Historical Site
The palace where our president is working at. It is a building full of history and have great value of construction
5. Ho Chi Minh's Stilt House
Visit the relics where Ho Chi Minh stayed his life during the war
6. One Pillar Pagoda
Unique pagoda in the middle of the lake looks like a lotus flower. It was built from 11th century
7. Temple of Literature & National University
Confusius Temple and first university of Vietnam from 11th century
8. Hanoi Train Street
A short stop at Hanoi train street for a glimpse of Vietnam famous railways system.
9. Hoa Lo Prison
The history place during 19th-20th century where Vietnamese and American pilots were kept. CUSTOMERS NOT FOND OF THE PRISON CAN CHOOSE: 1. Hanoi Art Museum 2. Hanoi History Museum 3. Hanoi Women Museum 4. Hanoi Army Museum 5. Hanoi Ancient Citadel Museum. In group tour, it is fixed with Hanoi Ethnology museum. Excellent Hanoi private city tour; fully recommended for couples or people traveling with limited time or if you love personalized travel. Our guide Ha Hoang was very attentive, knowledgeable about the culture, and flexible with the agenda since we had to adjust due to long lines at the mausoleum.
You get a private car for most of the day.
Lunch was very tasty and plentiful. You finish the day with a Cyclo tour in the old quarter to get to know a lot of the streets and shops. Overall a great experience for first timers in Hanoi.

Joseph did an excellent job with the tour. We saw so much and took hundreds of pictures. There was a lot of walking, and we were surprised at how long the tour lasted.

For the money I paid I would expected more. I first asked for a specific translator and if they speak English that would be great but was asked 3pm the day before the tour and then told it would be extra for non English guide which I thought it was a done deal. I was arriving that afternoon and didn’t see email at like 5pm and responded with questions but got no response. This was huge disappointment.

Second, I would expect that guide would be more knowledgeable about the history. I have been on tours where the guide provides history while heading to destination and there was none provided. When I asked the answer was bit off.

Third, for one of the locations - I didn’t know there was a dress code and nothing was mentioned in my email at 3pm… and also they didn’t realize that you can’t bring snacks which was in one of the bags which could have been easily put in the car and avoided.

In the end, the guide was nice and apologizing. However for the money paid - I would expect lack of communication to be a huge disappointment…. And maybe better to go via a big tour rather than private.

The local tour operator was simply dishonest with this booking. Paying so much for a Private tour which indicates it’s with Guide and Driver. During lunch, the driver disappears and I am told I have to walk for the rest of the day. The tour operator calls and stays yelling. His program sent to me on Watsapp is different from what I booked on viator.
The tour guide then has to book the local taxi and pay to bring me to the next destination - waiting and wasting time.
I have all the photo proof.

Do NOT book this Dishonest tour.
They should be black listed.

Our guide for the date was brilliant. He was very smart, informative and welcoming to all questions we asked. We had a lovely day with him. A nice young man everybody should look for when visiting Hanoi.

What an great experience! Our guide Louis was both informative, funny and witty! Perfect way to discover Hanoi.

Our day comprised of visiting the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, The One Pillar Pagoda, The Temple of literature, seeing how lacquer art peices are produced, a great lunch, visiting the Jade Temple/ The Restored Sword Lake and finishing off with a water puppet show.

Having Louis explain the story surounding the Restaured Sword Lake and then being able to see the representation of that story with the water puppets was the highlight for me.

A strong reccomend to anyone going to Vietnam!

Great visit to Hanoi with Louis. Show us nice restaurants and coffee hiden places. Plan at least 2 days for the city visit.
