Loved our experience snorkeling and kayaking with Jose! We had a little bit of trouble finding the tent, but when I called the number listed they were quick to answer and direct us back to the correct spot on the beach. We spent hours in the water, getting carried away talking about the reef and fish, and then kayaked to the bio bay where we learned about the ecosystem, trees, and wildlife. I would recommend the eco experience for any nature lover, or for families and kids.

We were unable to take the excursion due to rough seas. I understand weather is unpredictable but my issue was that we drove all the way out there to find this out. There was no attempt made by The Pirate Shack to contact us. Luckily we were only 20 minutes away. Had we been staying in San Juan with an hour drive I would not have been happy.

Our guide was fabulous! Great attitude and informative. He was patient & the kids loved him.
For reference you kayak to the natural reserve, learn some history & take quite a long walk down the beach & back to the kayaks. Then you kayak back to the original spot to get the snorkel gear. You swim to reef to snorkel for about 45 mins or so. Unfortunately the coral is rather damaged and not at all colorful. We saw a lot fish but not much else. The guide found a live conch & a sea spider for the kids but that was about it. Not much anyone can do about that & perhaps it is better on other days. Overall it’s a fun 1/2 day for $50 pp & I highly recommend.

The whole experience was amazing, our guide was knowledgeable the couples we interacted with became friends and the location was extraordinary! I highly recommended Pirate, Snorkeling Shack.

Had the worst experience ever. I wish nothing but good karma for this business. I know that everyone must make a living but honorable living is the best living. I do not recommend.

My friend and I had a wonderful experience kayaking and snorkeling. Joshua was knowledgeable and answered all our questions and was a patient instructor, as well. If you want a leisurely, fun excursion and to learn about this ecosystems preservation and enjoy the beauty it has to offer. highly recommend!

We had a great time on our trip out. Jose was our tour guide, he was very informative and you can tell he loved what he does.
First time snorkeling and kayaking, 6 of us, and he was very patience with everyone.

We had a fun time kayaking, swimming, and snorkeling. The guide was personable, kind, and informative. He was good with our kids (15,13, and 10). We started on time and it was easy to get to.
