The most interesting tour I have done so far in all my trips! The previous 5-star ratings led me to book this tour and I am so happy I did!! You get to discover a time in Croatia that is off the guidebooks, learnings about the mentality and architecture during Yugoslavian period, on a very fun way and driving a retro car, the Yugo! Teo did a fantastic job and the two hours flew by. He dropped us at a great restaurant, which was a great recommendation! Don't leave Zagreb without doing this tour.

Our recent Yugo + Socialist City Tour in Zagreb, led by the exceptional local guide Teo, was the absolute highlight of our trip. From start to finish, the tour exceeded our expectations, and we cannot express enough how much we loved this experience.

Setting up the tour was a breeze, thanks to Teo's efficient and responsive communication. The process was seamless and hassle-free.

The private tour format made the entire experience feel intimate and personalized. Teo's passion for the subject matter, combined with his incredible firsthand accounts, transformed the tour into an engaging conversation. We felt privileged to delve deep into the socialist history of Yugoslavia with such an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide.

Teo's expertise and storytelling abilities were exceptional. His firsthand experiences and profound knowledge of the socialist era in Yugoslavia provided us with a comprehensive understanding of the period. His narratives were captivating, and his nuanced insights shed light on the political, social, and cultural aspects of that time.

During the tour, Teo surprised us with historically relevant snacks, adding a thoughtful touch to the experience. It was a lovely detail that made us feel even more immersed in the historical context.

The tour took us to specific landmarks in Zagreb that played a crucial role in the socialist history of Yugoslavia. Exploring sites such as the Mammoth, the Cube, and New Zagreb, we were able to visualize and comprehend the significant impact of socialism on the city and its people. It was a thought-provoking journey that left us with a newfound appreciation for the complexities of this historical period.

Teo's recommendations for the rest of our time in Zagreb were invaluable. We followed his suggestions and were rewarded with unforgettable experiences that complemented our exploration of Yugoslav history, such as visiting the 80's museum. Additionally, Teo's recommendations for other attractions, including the Museum of Broken Relationships, Lotrščak Tower, Mali Medo Brewery, and the funicular, gave us a well-rounded vision of Zagreb.

Teo’s positivity and enthusiasm for his country’s history was fantastic. He came prepared with visual aids to explain the city. We had no idea of the history of Croatia but Teo was thorough and descriptive in explaining it to us. We learned what it was like to live under communist rule – how the housing was built, jobs, infrastructure, etc. He even treated us to some candy from that time period. We felt completely safe in his hands and learned to appreciate what that time was like. Would recommend.

My husband and I spent two days with Antonija and her Yugo. Our first day, she took us all around Zagreb for the Yugo and The Socialist City Tour. We visited places that we would not have even known about without taking this tour. Throughout the tour, Antonija told us stories about the places we visited and about growing up in Zagreb. On day two, we drove out to the beautiful countryside to visit Tito’s village, an open-air museum. Antonija showed us around the village and explained each of the exhibits. Then we visited a restaurant with excellent food and a view of a castle. To top off these awesome tours, she let my husband drive her beloved Yugo!

Antonija’s tours are well planned, informative, and engaging. She is knowledgeable about regional history from the medieval period to the present day. Antonija treated us to a VIP experience. Don’t miss the chance to take a tour with Yugocar Adventure. You will be hard-pressed to find another tour out there with the quality and charm of Antonija’s tours.
