Enjoy a tour on a high powered Speedboat. The Tay Estuary is home to Bottlenose Dolphins, Grey seals, Lighthouses, Oil rigs, Bridges and the new Victoria and Albert Museum on the waterside. The trip is a mixture of thrills and wonder with historical and nature information given on the way. Trips last approximately one hour and are available from age seven up. Great trip on RIB boat to see dolphins. We saw lots close up and leaping through the water. Great experience. Safety briefing was good and the boat driver / captain was good.

At the dock today, there was no boat, no reception staff, no notice of cancellation, and no reply to the online contact with the organizer. What do you think my mood should be?

Very nice way to kill an hour. Our guide was warm and kind. I would recommend this. This is a good way to see the city of Dundee from a different perspective

Unfortunately , weather was not and trip was cancelled by the tour operator. Ian (Tour Operator) tried to call and left a voice message. The one good thing is you can reserve the place much ahead and payment is taken just 48 hours before the trip which is great. So, i have reserved again in July 24.

Our trip was cancelled due to the weather. This is absolutely fine. We were contacted by the tour operator who told us our refund would be processed immediately. I waited a full week and when our money had not been returned I contacted trip advisor. I then received an email saying that they were 'considering' my refund request. 10 days after trip date now and still no refund.

The SaltDog Marine Boat Safari Adventure in Oct '23 was definitely the highlight of our Dundee visit.

Ian took out out towards Tentsmuir Point to see some of the young seals before going up the River Tay, past the Larick Beacon, under the Tay Road Bridge and to the V&A before turning back Broughty Ferry.

We stopped a few times along the way and our Skipper Ian patiently answered all our questions and provided lots of information and interesting facts about the area, the River Tay, the wharfs, the seals and nature reserve, about the windfarms, the light houses and the V&A museum.

We (especially our kids, 10 & 13) absolutely loved the speedy ride and hitting the waves and when we stopped at the V&A you could see how we became the attraction to the people looking out of the V&A!

It's really been great fun and we promised the kids that we will do this again next time we are in Dundee. Only word of advice: Wrap up warm in October; sun glasses help to keep the wind out of your eyes.
