Our Apron Up Cooking Class has been gaining popularity through years in giving people an intensive and interesting lessons. People who come to us can be experts who want to open Vietnamese restaurant back home or a person who never cook before but want to be able to eat delicious Viet food when they have to come back after vacation.
Our school locates right in the centre of the old quarter so very easy to access and hence, after the market tour in the biggest market in Hanoi which is right near the old quarter, you can also know where to buy what in the rest of your trip here.
Within only 3 - 4 hours, you get to learn about the ingredients ( spices and Vietnamese produces), get your hands on cooking a whole meal of the most popular and authentic 5 dishes in Hanoi (or its vegetarian version for vegetarian attendants, enjoying your fruits of labour and try Vietnamese rice wine together with your classmates, receiving a cook booklet and certificate!

We had the most amazing day cooking with Bella who was a wonderful and enthusiastic teacher. She took us to the market to teach us all about the food we would be making, and then went through step by step on how to make a delicious five course meal! We loved how much fun we had and how Bella never stopped smiling! Thank you so much. Highly recommended for all!

I had a wonderful time with Coco, it was so interesting to see what was inside the soups and how to make the traditional dishes. As well as being very knowledgeable, CoCo was very easy to talk to and I had so much fun chatting. The food was all so delicious, would definitely recommend.

Comprehensive cooking class where you learn not only how to cook but also get a lot of background knowledge about the raw ingredients. We had May as an instructor and she is fantastic. She explains to everyone on the course the entire process of getting from raw ingredients to finished dishes. Furthermore, she is good at including everyone in the class in both cooking and conversation. She also managed to instruct both meat eaters and vegetarians at the same time.

Best cooking class ever! May was the best teacher and helped us learn everything. The food was delicious and everyone was so lovely. Highly recommend doing if you’re in Hanoi.

It was an amazing experience! The food was really good and I liked the little shop around the market with our guide/chef Ruby explaining all the different ingredients to us. Ruby was really funny and open and made the cooking class a memorable one for sure😊

My family and I did the class from 9-12 with Bella. She was extremely knowledgeable and funny making the class fun and interesting. Definitely worth the price and I would definitely come back!
