The tunnels are a great destination located 70 km from the
Ho Chi Minh City Center to the Northwest.
Cu Chi was known as the “area of steel” in the war time, and the tunnel systems were over 200km, which was considered the unbreakable underground village in the Vietnam-American war. It is legendary for its network of tunnels, and is a popular destination for both Vietnamese and foreign visitors.

Great trip to the Cu Chi tunnels. Peace provided interesting explanations and has a great knowledge on this matter. One of the best place to discover about Vietnam history.

I am writing this review to just let people know that at the end of the tour, you land at the souvenir shop. ( Just as you would at any other museum or tourist spot).
Please do not buy the bullets lest you want them to be thrown as garbage at the time of leaving vietnam and bringing it back to your home country. IT IS SIMPLY NOT ALLOWED
Not even in the checked in luggage. So don't waste your money and effort.

Very interesting and a good way to learn more about this war experience from the Vietnam perspective.
But also confrontational at times!

I detest war and we should criminalize war. Everyone deserves to live in peace. Visited this sad place and learned how local people has suffered and endured to gain independence is quite an overwhelming experience.

Our tour guide was Tuan and he could not have been nicer, he was very informative and shared some personal accounts with us about his experiences of war. We learned about some of the incredibly smart war tactics, including the making of the Cu Chi tunnel itself.
Would highly recommend.

We took a half day organised tour around Saigon and this museum was part of the tour. It gave the government's perspective of the Vietnam War. The very modern museum had many different American tanks and planes outside. There was a very graphic part which showed and the explained the torture given out by the French (including the last guillotine used). It also implied that there was torture inflicted by the American Army. Inside the air conditioned Museum there were over 100 pictures which explained the negative reaction of American soldiers and the rest if the world to the Vietnam War.

I made a friend when I was in HCM and we decided to go to the Cu Chi tunnels, first they take you to an art outpost where those less fortunate create art then they take you too the tunnels. It was really interesting learning about what went on and seeing the communist propaganda. For like $4-5 a bullet you can shoot a range of guns that they have on a range. The only bad part was the ride to and fro, but that’s traffic you can’t control. Instead of taking the free lunch at the end, we all got off at the first drop off and found our ways. Overall it was worth the experience.
