From first time climbers to competition team kids, there are opportunities for fantastic climbing in Joshua Tree National Park. We have experience guiding families with mixed climbing experience and know the best crags to serve everyone's ambitions! Regardless of your experience level, desires or goals there is a fantastic rock climbing trip ready and waiting for you!!! We have guided ages 2- 80 and have specialty equipment such as tiny rock climbing helmets, sticky rubber baby climbing shoes and full body harnesses for little people or pregnant moms! The 4-Hour Trip is great for people who want to focus on rock climbing. Typically, we keep the approaches short and visit only 1-2 rock formations so that we spend the bulk of your trip climbing as many routes as possible!

absolutely incredible climbing experience pushing the entire family out of our comfort zone but in the safe hands of our encouraging guide. Jaden was a fantastic guide and did an amazing job with the kids!

Having recently returned from another wonderful crossing the country road trip, it is time to highlight those that made my trip most memorable, through writing madness on the internet.
Jaden, thanks for an amazing day around JT! My wife and I had a blast with you, and again later that evening. We were hoping you might swing back by.

We had such a great time with Alex and Brad. They took a bunch of dopey middle aged guys and put us in some really exciting climbs in a beautiful setting and kept us safe. We had close to zero experience climbing, but these guys had great tips and we learned a lot in just an afternoon. Most of all it was fun and memorable, so worth it.

This was a great day out which the kids and is really enjoyed. Aron was a great guide and ensured we could do something challenging but achievable given we have young kids. Highly recommend it!

I called in the morning of the day we wanted to go climbing. Aaron was able to schedule a guide to go with my three kids ages 22,20 and 16 for that afternoon. Our guide Alex found a great place in Joshua Tree to climb with different challenges. The kids loved it. They each did five climbs. I would highly recommend this company and Alex as a guide.

We had a fantastic time climbing with Jaden in Joshua Tree! Three out of the four of us had never climbed before but Jaden was extremely patient and gentle with our nervous 7 year old as well as the middle-age parental figures! He also was super encouraging and challenged our 11 year old daughter who is a burgeoning climber. The whole time we all felt extremely safe. We loved hiking the trails at the park as well but climbing was a fantastic additional way to experience the rocks and cracks in Joshua tree.

What am amazing day this was! My kids (11 y/o girl and 10 y/o boy) and I do some occasional rock climbing at indoor gyms. We were on a vacation heading from LA to the Grand Canyon and decided to break up the trip with a stop at Joshua tree. They’ve always asked to try “real rock climbing” and this was a perfect opportunity. Stone Adventures was just outstanding! They provided all needed gear and were patient while we tried on many shoe pairs to get the right fit. Then when we headed to a rock Aron had a great spot picked out. 4 different routes on 1 rock so we had different experiences without wasting time. He gauged our skill level and adapted as we went to make it fun and also challenging. The temp was 105 but he found a perfectly shaded spot and it felt more like 80. Perfect weather and temp, especially for my wife who watched. He coached us, encouraged us, was always positive and even stayed a little late so we could get in 1 more route! It was a 2 week trip in total including stops in Disneyland, SD and Vegas yet we all agreed, this was the highlight of the trip! We’d use them again in a heartbeat and highly recommend Stone!

We went on a family climb of 7 people, ages spanning 13 to 57 and everyone had a wonderful time. Alex and Connor were our guides/teachers and they were great. Very easy to talk to, helpful with ideas how to help or improve a climbing route for each of us. It was nice that the price per person did not increase based on having two instructors for our group. We would definitely do again if we are ever back in the area. Thanks for a great afternoon!

INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE for our family of 6! I can't speak highly enough about Stone Adventures and our guides. They were fantastic with our kids, even the little ones only 5 and 6 , and helped everyone climb as far as they were comfortable . They were encouraging and also patient and very knowledgeable and professional. We had such a fun and interesting day and most importantly I felt my kids were in safe hands. I was really impressed at how the guides combined family-friendliness and real skill teaching. The customer service was also excellent-- I had originally booked this trip in March 2020 and obviously had to cancel, but they very happily honored our reservation nearly 2 years later and we couldn't have been more pleased. This was definitely the highlight of our california trip.
