Horseback riding in Cusco to the Temple of the Moon

I booked nearly two months ago. My tour was scheduled for Wednesday and the vendor canceled today (Saturday), but is offering the same tour at the same time, but increased the price $5.

There are other vendors offering similar horseback tours.

I wouldn’t trust someone who would do this to someone in the middle of their vacation just so they can greedily get a little more money out of someone else. Viator should be ashamed they allow vendors to do this.

This was a fantastic experience and highly recommended for anyone who is okay with riding horses. From hotel pickup to drop off this was probably only ~3.5hrs. There was a solid 2-2.5 hours for the trek which included two stops at Incan ruins. Considering you are only about 25mins outside Cusco you feel like you’re in the Andean countryside. The horses were very well trained and we alternated between walking and a good gallop which was thrilling and a touch jarring. The scenery was majestic and our guide Holger was fantastic.

Our guide Holger was very knowledgeable and friendly! I was traveling with a group of friends and all of us had minimum experience with riding horses and yet we felt comfortable. One of the must do in Cusco!

An absolutely impeccable experience from start to finish. Our guide’s language skills, knowledge of the area and history was second to none and his obvious affection for the horses shone through. A truly unforgettable experience that we would recommend and re visit if we had the opportunity - even though we are total novices, we felt very safe throughout. A family business with real horsemen - the horses were properly trained for their jobs and matched to riders’ experience and the guide was really knowledgeable and good company. Highly recommend!

Wish I could give a higher rating! This experience was phenomenal. Holger is an amazing guide. You can tell he has a deep appreciation and was well knowledged in Incan culture and of the land. The moon temple is a must see!

We had a great experience. The horses seem well cared-for and healthy. They guide was courteous and gave great explanations of what we were seeing. It was a great balance of riding with some breaks to look around and rest. Pickup was on time and it was only a 15 minute ride from our hotel in Cusco to the horses. Highly recommend!

An incredible experience that is so close to Cusco but at the same time you are in the middle of the mountains. The horses are well kept and the guide excellent. Highly recommended for a fun morning or afternoon activity.

I had an amazing trip through the mountains around Cusco, visiting several Inca sites. The horses had a good spirit and were very well taken care off. Our guide was very knowledgable about the region and Inca culture, friendly and good experience with horses. I loved the ride and my horse. We were able to gallop on the flat areas! Thanks for the wonderfull afternoon. I can definitely recommend them if your are looking for a nice horse-ride on a good horse.
