Half-Day Trip from Nice to Monaco Monte carlo with Guided Walk

This was a terrible experience. Pick up at hotel, was texted the driver would be 10 min late. There was already a passenger in front seat with driver. My husband and I occupied the back seat and driver said we were picking up another passenger. I had to squeeze into the tiny middle for rest of the drive. We spent 30 min getting to Antibes and then given 1 hour to meet driver back at drop off. There was no information on the way there, it was only uncomfortable silence as we as passengers tried to extract information. Once back in car another 30 min to Cannes, dropped outside the red carpet theater which had workmen and machinery taking apart any remains of the the film festival. This invoked one of the passengers to get into it with the driver saying "this is BS, there is nothing to see here, how can you take us here? Take us to see the castle and the Carlton on the Quay" And so it went on until we were back in the car having seen nothing and drove past the Carlton, still having the match go on between the driver and passenger. She was to report to the tour company. Another 30 min to St Paul de Vence - at which point we told the driver we would not be returning with the group. We stayed rest of day enjoying/salvaging a bad decision to use this tour company. We paid another $40 E above the $130E to get back to Nice via Uber. I would like to request a refund for this miserable experience.

Excellent tour that gives you a real sense of what Monaco is all about. Our guide, Nazrin, was the best. Worth doing if you’re a decent walker.

Nazrin and Leo were excellent! They shared loads of information and tailored the trip to meet the needs of the group. They knew just where to position us to get a glimpse of the Grand Prix. They took us to a spot in the good market that had amazing pasta. It was a great tour. Tw thumbs up for Nazrin and Leo!

1 week before the F1 race the city was half blocked and it was very loud, but that made it a great experience and the tour guides were great at working it out and making it a fantastic tour. Very important to me is that there was enough time set aside to see everything and have a nice look around.

Overall Monaco is the rich people’s playground, but interesting to see and hear about. Didn’t know Monaco has such an interesting history as well.

Would recommend!

Due to circumstances in Monaco we were hardly able to see much. The experiences that were promised while booking the tour were not provided. It was extremely tiring, lot of walking and climbing, stairs and uphill, both. The travel from Nice to Monaco by train was a horrible experience. Lot of time was wasted and nothing much achieved. The guide tried but the tour operator should have known beforehand about the circumstances in Monaco and not booked the tour for this particular day. Very disappointing day, not worth the effort and money at all.

Our tour guide Isa was great and very knowledgeable, it was a long day, we were picked up at 9 am and didn’t return until 6.30 pm, we were only expecting a 7 hour tour. It was rainy afternoon so we didn’t get any value on the places we visited. We visited many places and got some great photos

Lucy was easily identified at Nice Gare as per instructions By Paul’s Bakery Red Umbrella 😀 Very approachable Great English She shared continuous interesting facts on the trip with pictures that brought the history to life. Great lunch recommendation- should have had 1/2 a portion of the pasta though 😂 As it said in the brief for the experience there was a lot of walking but with regular points to stop and soak up it didn’t feel that challenging the pace was great Thank you Lucy for a lovely few hours
