The Tenjin Festival attracts 1.3 million spectators each year. Tenjinmatsuri is one of the three most important festivals in Japan, along with Kyoto's Gion Matsuri and Tokyo's Kanda Matsuri. The festival began in the 10th century and is now held annually on July 24-25. The main festivities are a land procession and a river procession with fireworks on the second day, July 25. About "River Procession with Fireworks", since this is a “Jichuruma Kougyou Boat,” normally only those who belong to the Kougyou are allowed to board the boat. However, we will sell the boat as a special offer. On the stage in front of the boat, you can see the dragon dance performed at Tenmangu Shrine right in front of you. The fireworks display in front of you will be a spectacular sight. Please also enjoy a luxury box dinner and all-you-can-drink alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Boat Procession Boarding starts at 18:00 but as it is very crowded with many people, we will assemble one hour before the event.
