At this experience you will learn greetings and manners of nihon-buyō (Japanese traditional dance), Japanese performing art of dance. Yukata with various patterns is provided. The instructor will be guide you on how to wear a yukata properly. Then, have a lecture about greetings and manners. After that, you will have a Japanese traditional dance fundamentals and “Sakura Sakura” training. Come and join an experience of the invisible essence of Japanese kokoro (heart) on nihon-buyō while wearing a yukata! Originally, it was thought that the god descended on the dancing miko by expressing itself in the form of an oracle. Thus, the miko became one with the god and therefore with nature. At here, you can meet a real shrine maiden (miko) and participate in a ceremonial dance (mikomai) class. The miko sensei will teaches you the steps of traditional ceremonial dance “Toyosakamai”. Before having a traditional ceremonial dance lesson, the sensei will have a small lecture about origins and history of the shrine maiden. During the experience, you can take photos and videos while wearing a shrine maiden costume. We will deliver valuable time that can only be experienced in Japan to tourists visiting Japan.
